I noticed there are pictures that I simply like, love, or inspire me, then there are pictures that touch me in a deeper level and I found that I also keep thinking about them. I came across two photos like that lately and both of them are from Shabby Chic. Here they are:

If I had to select an image to describe the word "magic", this would be it. I feel warm, fuzzy and safe just looking at this picture.

I wonder which Shabby Chic store this photo was taken? Whichever it was, this picture just encompasses all that I love about Shabby Chic and what I would want my dream home to be. This photo is perfection to me.

I am already thinking about what to give my kitty on his birthday (that will be in May)..he is my furry baby after all, so I would love to get a hold of something special for him, something like this:
I know it's a doggy bed, but I think it would work for the kitty-population equally well.

...and this is for my birthday perhaps..? :))

There are times when I wish I knew a little sooner what I wanted, because by the time I realize, sometimes it is too late. That is exactly what happened with the Martha Stewart collection of kitchen appliances ..I did, however, managed to get a hold of the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. Look at these appliances, aren't they just beautiful??

After having kept Jessica Mc Clintock's Simply Romantic Decorating book on my wish list for years, I finally went ahead and purchased it this Christmas...and I was not disappointed! Even though her house is furnished with antiques so expensive that most of us can only dream of, it is still worth having! The pictures are the epitome of beauty, gracefulness and taste. The text is equally interesting. I thought I post a few pictures from the book for all of us to enjoy, especially those who love the 18th century. I apologies for the bad quality of my photos..:

New Teacups from E-Bay

It's been a long time that I wanted to have a nice teacup collection, but somehow I never took the time to look for them. Then last week as I was searching E-Bay I came across a pair of vintage Bavarian teacups from the 30's that I always dreamed of owning. The price was quite steep for just two mugs without saucers ($90) so I decided to do a search. This is what I found:

These are not exactly the same as the 30's style cups but I do like them a lot! Especially the pink one. It has an interesting salmon pink color. I would like to create an eclectic collection of teacups with saucers and a matchy-matchy set. Now I am just waiting for my teapot to arrive so I can brew a nice pot and enjoy..

I couldn't resist the temptation to upload a photo of the vintage cups that I love so much..maybe one day I come across similar ones but cheaper:

Classics On Blue Ray

As I mentioned in my previous post, I pre-ordered Dangerous Liaisons that just came out on Blue-Ray. It finally arrived and I had a chance to watch it the night before. I was so thrilled with the picture quality!! On my old copy, I was not able to pick up the details on the costumes and the furniture, however, the bad picture quality was remedied on the new Blue-Ray release and now it is possible to enjoy every single crystal on the chandeliers and every bead and embroidery on the costumes!

While I was at it, I also ordered my other favorite movie that was also just released on Blue-Ray; Pride And Prejudice! I really think they done a better job on the latter because the picture quality is even better here than on Dangerous Liaisons.

After watching both movies, I concluded that both new releases are equally worth having and the old copies that I watched to death will have to go..

THE NEW K. HALL DESIGNS BARR Co. PERFUME IS FINALLY OUT!

The packaging turned out to be absolutely beautiful! This is on my list to purchase and when I do I will definitively a review of it here.
